Qualifications

• Diploma of Remedial Massage or relevant equivalent qualification.
• Relevant hands-on experience providing remedial or therapeutic massage; at least one year of experience preferred.
• Competence in client assessment, treatment planning and remedial soft-tissue techniques.
• Clear communication skills and a professional, reliable and client-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical environment.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain before commencement.
• Eligibility for membership with a relevant professional association and private health fund provider registration.
• Availability to work the full-time roster, including weekday and Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Consulting with clients to assess their physical conditions, medical histories, muscular discomfort, treatment objectives and contraindications to massage therapy.
• Conducting physical assessments to evaluate posture, movement, muscle tension and soft-tissue conditions.
• Developing and implementing individualised massage treatment plans based on assessed needs and objectives.
• Applying remedial techniques (deep-tissue, sports massage, soft-tissue manipulation) to relieve tension and improve circulation.
• Monitoring client responses, evaluating outcomes and modifying techniques as needed.
• Providing advice on stretching, relaxation, posture and self-care strategies.
• Maintaining confidential client records, histories and follow-ups.
• Ensuring infection-control and safety standards are met.
• Liaising with clients, reception staff and other practitioners; referrals where appropriate.
• Assisting in maintaining treatment rooms and equipment.

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Massage Therapist for a genuine full-time, ongoing employee position to provide individualised remedial and therapeutic massage services to clients.

The successful applicant will assess clients' needs, deliver appropriate hands‑on treatment and monitor treatment outcomes.

This position is offered as an employee role, not an ABN contractor engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Consulting with clients to assess their physical conditions, medical histories, muscular discomfort, treatment objectives and any contraindications to massage therapy.
• Conducting physical assessments, including evaluating posture, movement, muscle tension and soft-tissue conditions, to identify areas requiring therapeutic treatment.
• Developing and implementing individualised massage treatment plans based on clients' assessed needs, physical conditions and treatment objectives.
• Applying appropriate remedial massage techniques, including deep-tissue massage, sports massage, soft-tissue manipulation and therapeutic massage, to relieve muscular tension, improve circulation and promote physical wellbeing.
• Monitoring clients' responses to massage treatments, evaluating treatment outcomes and modifying therapeutic techniques and treatment plans where appropriate.
• Providing clients with professional advice on stretching exercises, relaxation techniques, posture and self-care strategies to support recovery and ongoing muscular health.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential client consultation records, treatment histories, progress notes and follow-up treatment recommendations.
• Ensuring compliance with infection-control procedures, hygiene standards, workplace health and safety requirements and applicable professional practice standards.
• Liaising professionally with clients, reception staff and other practitioners, including referrals where appropriate.
• Assisting in maintaining treatment rooms, equipment and an organised client-focused service.

Selection Criteria
