Australian Department of Industry, Science and Resources in Sydney seeks an early-career scientist or engineer to join the National Measurement Institute’s Mass and Density Standards team. You will contribute to precision metrology and calibration services, supported by structured training and a strong safety culture.

You will develop specialist capability in mass and density measurement, work within ISO/IEC 17025 quality systems, and collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary qualification in physics, engineering or related field.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation and quality systems is desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilités

• Deliver timely calibrations of weights, balances and density measurements.
• Plan and manage calibration workflows with clients and schedules.
• Analyse measurement data, propagate uncertainty and prepare records.
