Team & Opportunity

Our Growth and Experience team is driving Vanguard Australia’s growth in the retail investor market. We have an ambitious agenda to deliver exceptional, personalised experiences for our clients and advisers. To help us achieve this, we are seeking a Marketing Automation Lead to join our team and play a pivotal role in building connected, omni-channel experiences.

This role is highly collaborative, but delivery-focused. You will be responsible for creating end-to-end customer journeys, leveraging Adobe CDP, Marketo and Adobe Journey Optimiser tools to deliver personalised experiences across multiple channels. In addition to execution, you will contribute to uplifting the wider marketing team’s capability in marketing automation and personalisation.

Your work will directly influence how we connect with customers and advisers, ensuring every interaction is meaningful and personalised.

Core Responsibilities

Delivery & Execution

  • Build, manage, and optimise omni-channel customer journeys for both direct customers and advisers using Adobe CDP and Journey Builder tools.
  • Develop and implement personalisation strategies across digital channels to enhance customer engagement.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality in all marketing automation activities, maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Analyse, monitor and optimise campaign performance through data-driven insights.

Collaboration & Capability Uplift

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, IT, Data, CX, and the broader business as needed to deliver integrated experiences.
  • Support the team’s capability uplift by sharing knowledge and best practices in marketing automation and personalisation.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in marketing automation.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver personalised, omni-channel experiences.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing smart, data-driven journeys.
  • Experience with Marketo and Adobe Experience Platform (Adobe Target, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Journey Optimiser, Adobe CDP) is Ideal. Similar platforms with transferable skills are also considered.
  • Strong understanding of data with SQL knowledge

Nice to have:

  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries,
  • Experience with experimentation including A/B and multivariate testing.
