Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Principal Engineer/Team Leader in Maritime to lead a national Ports & Maritime team across Australia. The role offers flexibility with bases in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Perth and involves guiding engineers, shaping project delivery, and growing client relationships.

You will supervise geotechnical investigations, prepare foundations and earthworks reports, and collaborate with coastal, environmental, transport and geotechnical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Maritime or Coastal Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in ports, maritime or coastal engineering projects.
• Accredited as CPEng.
• Broad skills in people management, business development, project delivery and business management.
• Experience in managing teams with direct line management duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a maritime engineering team, guiding project delivery and client relations.
• Direct planning, execution, and interpretation of geotechnical investigations and associated reports.
• Drive business development opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
• Monitor and report team performance, forecast workloads, and contribute to strategic plans.
