Job summary

Codan Limited is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Test Engineer to design, develop and support electronic test hardware and systems across global manufacturing operations. You will work on PCBAs, embedded systems, and final assemblies, translating engineering requirements into robust manufacturing test solutions.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing and quality teams, utilise Altium Designer, LabVIEW and Python, and contribute to NPI, production ramp-up and test infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• Experience designing electronics hardware for manufacturing test environments.
• Experience with test instrumentation, measurement techniques and automated test development; LabVIEW desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain electronic test hardware, PCB assemblies, jigs and fixtures used within manufacturing test equipment.
• Develop automated and manual test solutions for PCBAs, embedded systems and final product assemblies.
• Prepare test requirements, test plans and manufacturing test strategies for NPI through full-scale production.
• Design schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
• Develop, implement and maintain LabVIEW and Python-based test applications.
• Install, commission, validate and optimise manufacturing test systems, instrumentation, jigs and fixtures.
• Analyse manufacturing and test data to verify product quality, performance and process capability.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams and collaborate with design engineers to resolve product and test-related issues.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test capability and throughput.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Train technicians and manufacturing personnel in operating manufacturing test systems.
