Job summary

Visy is seeking an experienced Maintenance Leader for our Warwick Farm manufacturing facility in Sydney. You will oversee Mechanical and Electrical Supervisors, tradespeople and the Maintenance Planner, partnering with Operations to maximise plant reliability and safe, efficient production.

You will drive preventative programs, coach teams, perform root-cause analysis and manage budgets to minimise downtime while upholding high safety standards in a bustling packaging environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical or electrical maintenance experience with a practical leadership approach.
• Relevant engineering or trade qualifications.
• Experience delivering preventative maintenance and reliability improvements.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets and contractor performance.
• Excellent planning, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience within corrugated packaging, FMCG or a similar manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance function through a visible, hands‑on leadership style.
• Deliver preventative maintenance programs that maximise asset reliability.
• Partner with Operations to reduce downtime and optimise plant performance.
• Coach and develop Mechanical and Electrical Supervisors.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement sustainable engineering improvements.
• Manage maintenance budgets, contractors and critical spare parts.
• Maintain high standards of safety, compliance and housekeeping.
