Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking General Labourers and Casual Trade Assistants for immediate starts across construction and related sites. Earn $35.11 per hour, plus 11.5% super and a $22 daily travel allowance, with typical weekly pay.

Ongoing casual assignments with genuine pathways into permanent roles are offered. Requirements include at least 12 months' labouring or trade assistant experience, a Construction White Card, a current driver's licence, and the ability to perform physically

Qualifications

• Construction White Card is required.
• Current Driver Licence and reliable transport preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Work across a variety of industries including landscaping, construction, warehouse fit-outs, shopfitting and more.
• Site preparation and clean-up; wheelbarrowing materials; digging/trenching.
• Lifting and carrying materials; packing and stacking; assembling products.
• Assisting qualified tradespeople and performing general labouring duties as required.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day is different, with opportunities to work across a variety of industries including:

• Commercial and residential landscaping
• Residential and commercial construction
• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations
• Shopfitting and carpentry projects
• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Container unloading
• Site clean-ups and final cleans
• General manual handling duties

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assembling products
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport (highly preferred)
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Work gloves
• High-visibility clothing
