Job summary

Maitland City Council is seeking an experienced Manager Waste Services to lead the delivery and future direction of its waste and resource recovery services across one of NSW's fastest growing regions. You will oversee all waste services, including collections, disposal, and the Maitland Resource Recovery Facility, working with stakeholders to reduce waste and improve diversion rates.

You are an experienced senior leader who brings a wealth of technical expertise in waste management and sustainability. You bring the leadership capability to manage complex operations, guide a diverse workforce and contribute to the long-term direction of waste services.

Collaborative and open to new ideas, you enjoy working with others to solve problems and identify innovative, practical solutions. You are a capable people leader and team player who builds positive relationships, supports your team and works constructively through challenges.

Benefits

This is a full‑time, permanent role, working a 35‑hour week with a base salary range of $145,286 to $161,268 per year + vehicle allowance + 12% super.
