Responsibilities

  • Support the development of an annual project assurance plan (in conjunction with Delivery team leadership) based on the Fund-wide project portfolio, to ensure a suitable level of assurance activities are conducted across the portfolio.
  • Nurture and maintain internal relationships across all levels of the Fund, enabling you to collaborate effectively with sponsors to ensure that their projects are successful.
  • Ad-hoc participation in Project Steering Committees to ensure governance is effective, including meaningful discussions on project status, delivery risks, issues and mitigation plans, including a path to green for initiatives that are at risk.
  • Operate and make decisions in line with the Fund's Policies, Standards, Procedures, Decision Registers and the delegated authorities.
  • Ensure relevant legislative and organisational requirements are met by keeping up to date on all key changes to relevant regulations that impact project delivery.
What You'll Need
  • Tertiary degree (or equivalent) in project management, risk management, business, finance, or IT from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Certification in project management methodologies (preferably Agile, PMP, MSP, PRINCE2, PMBOK, or similar).
  • 7+ years' experience in professional services, preferably in superannuation, insurance, banking & finance or consultancy.
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role, responsible for the provision of assurance or audit services with proven ability to deliver outcomes to agreed timelines and to facilitate effective working relationships and communication with team members and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong background and knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
