Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is seeking a Manager Procurement to lead procurement, contract management and stores functions. Reporting to the CFO, you will guide a nine-person team and shape procurement strategy with strong governance to deliver value for money.
You will drive planning, sourcing, category management and supplier performance across the organisation, while overseeing procurement systems and reporting. Hybrid working and a competitive salary are provided.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the ManagerProcurement leads Council’s procurement, contract management and storesfunctions, managing and coaching a team of nine procurement professionals.
This is a key leadership role responsible for shapingCouncil’s procurement strategy, probity, governance and commercial practices. You willprovide expert advice to the CFO, Executive and business leaders on complex,high-risk and high-value procurement and contract matters, while ensuringprocurement processes are transparent, compliant and deliver value for money.
Working collaboratively across Council, you will driveprocurement planning, sourcing, category management and supplier performance,balancing strong governance with responsive customer service. You will alsooversee procurement systems, policies, reporting, training, stores operationsand inventory management.
Success in this role will come from your ability to buildtrusted relationships, lead and develop a high-performing team, strengthenprocurement capability across the organisation and deliver commercially soundoutcomes that support Council’s strategic objectives.

Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of$134,858 to $150,948 depending on skills and experience
This role also qualifies for a Leaseback or Vehicleallowance
Opportunity for performance based increases available after12 months.
