A leading educational institution in Tasmania is seeking a Manager for its IT Networks. The role involves setting strategic directions for the university's enterprise network, ensuring robust infrastructure services, and overseeing network operations. The Manager Networks provides institutional leadership of the Universitys enterprise network function ensuring that critical connectivity and infrastructure services are robust secure and future-ready. This role sets the strategic direction for network and IT facilities infrastructure balancing risk innovation and cost-effectiveness to support all aspects of University operations and campus modernisation.
The position oversees the design delivery and lifecycle management of enterprise network services including LAN WAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure as well as coordination of IT facilities operations such as data centres and node rooms. The incumbent will work closely with Campus Services Cybersecurity and other ITS teams to ensure that physical and network infrastructure aligns with institutional goals and compliance requirements.
The role requires strong leadership strategic planning and vendor management capabilities coupled with a deep understanding of enterprise networking and infrastructure operations. The Manager Networks will guide the team to deliver resilient high-performing and scalable network services that underpin teaching research and administrative functions across all University campuses.
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 9 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $160613 comprising base salary within the range of $130242 to $137276 plus 17% superannuation.
