Job summary

Meat & Livestock Australia seeks a Manager - Media and External Communications to lead media relations, corporate messaging and reputation management for the Australian red meat and livestock industry. You will partner with senior leaders, industry stakeholders and media to deliver strategic communications and issues management.

The role requires extensive media/communications experience, strong relationship skills and the ability to advise senior leaders in fast-paced settings.

Manager - Media and External Communications

As Manager - Media and External Communications, you'll lead media relations, corporate messaging and reputation management, helping position MLA as the trusted voice of Australia's red meat and livestock industry. You'll partner with senior leaders, industry stakeholders and media to deliver strategic communications, manage issues and elevate MLA's profile.

Our ideal Manager - Media and External Communications has

Extensive experience in media, communications or public affairs.

Strong stakeholder and media relationship management skills.

Expertise in issues, crisis and reputation management.

Exceptional writing, briefing and executive communication abilities.

Experience advising senior leaders in complex environments.

Ability to develop strategic narratives and communication plans.

Confidence working in fast-paced, high-profile settings.

Strong understanding of media performance and insights.
