Qualifications

• Current Tasmanian RWVP registration is mandatory.

About Libraries Tasmania

Libraries Tasmania is a unique organisation, providing contemporary library and archives services to all Tasmanians. Libraries Tasmania is responsible for Tasmania’s public library network, covering 47 locations statewide, and for the State Library and Archives of Tasmania.

About The Role

Coordinate and manage the operations of library services within a region, together with developing and promoting high level links between Libraries Tasmania and community stakeholders. Promote an integrated network of library services to meet the information and learning needs of local communities.

About You

We are seeking an experienced leader who will achieve results in a client focussed, dynamic and changing environment of a contemporary public library.

You Will Ideally Bring

• Proven experience in the management of teams across dispersed locations.
• Knowledge of community trends, program delivery and policies in a contemporary public library.
• High level of communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Essential

• Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment

Desirable

• Tertiary qualifications in library and information studies
• Tertiary qualifications in leadership, management, education or other relevant discipline
• A current driver's licence
