Manager, IT Support – Containers for Change

We are Western Australia Return Recycle Renew (WARRRL), leading the recycling revolution that is Containers for Change. We have developed and supported a strong, diverse network of 300 refund points, providing employment opportunities through commercial, social enterprise and not-for-profit organisations. In just over 5 years, we have saved over 4.6 billion containers from landfill, with a recovery rate rising from 33% to 66%. Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking IT Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operation, reliability, and continuous improvement of our technology environment. In this newly created role, you will oversee all aspects of IT systems, infrastructure, vendor relationships and drive digital literacy, business continuity, and service excellence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build organisational capability and digital literacy through targeted IT training and awareness programmes that enhance system adoption and performance.
  • Ensure the establishment and ongoing readiness of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans that minimise operational disruption and safeguard critical data.
  • Ensure the robust operation of all IT systems, infrastructure and services, supporting the organisation’s core functions.
  • Oversee effective application management, including Level 1 support, system configuration and change management to maintain operational integrity.
  • Optimise system usage and data management practices, including Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), to improve collaboration and organisational efficiency.
  • Manage IT vendor and software and hardware selection to ensure users have access to robust, fit‑for‑purpose systems to enable the organisation to execute its strategy.

About You
  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience managing IT environments, including infrastructure, networks, applications and end‑user support.
  • Strong capability in Microsoft 365 administration (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and modern workplace technologies.
  • Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining IT policies, frameworks and improvements.
  • Proven experience managing vendors and outsourced Managed Service Providers (MSP), with a strong focus on service performance and value.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in business continuity, disaster recovery planning and risk identification.
