Job summary

CommBank is seeking a Finance Manager in Technology Finance Strategic Investments to shape strategic investment decisions across a major technology portfolio. You will lead forecasting, capital investment insights and portfolio reporting to influence enterprise outcomes.

The role focuses on commercial analysis, stakeholder influence, and delivering robust financial planning while developing a high-performing team and driving continuous improvement in financial controls within Technology Finance.

Qualifications

• CA, CPA, CIMA or CFA qualification
• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen, capable of turning data into insights
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proven problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
• Experience in financial planning, forecasting, reporting and investment analysis

Responsibilities

• Deliver portfolio reporting and analysis of financial performance, forecasts and risks to Technology leadership and Group Finance
• Support strategic investment and operational decisions through financial modelling and commercial analysis
• Provide expertise on investment capitalisation and capital expenditure forecasting
• Drive forecast accuracy and optimise project performance across the Technology portfolio
• Identify and escalate risks while maintaining strong financial controls
• Build trusted relationships across Technology, Finance and Group stakeholders

We partner closely with stakeholders to understand their investment priorities, manage financial performance and support the delivery of current and future strategic plans.

As part of the broader Technology Finance team, you'll work alongside passionate finance professionals who are committed to influencing strategic outcomes through transparent insights and collaborative partnerships.

Your impact

In this role, you will:
