About the role
Drive the achievement of Business Unit plan objectives through strong leadership, fostering a customer‑focused and collaborative culture. Champion a risk‑mature environment and promote performance‑driven outcomes that align with organisational values and service excellence. You will have 4 direct reports and a total team of 42 employees.

What you can expect with this role
- Water Corporation leaders design, develop, and implement business plans in line with the organisation’s strategic direction. Engagement, development, and mentoring are essential elements of our leadership model.
- Deliver comprehensive analysis and reporting on debt portfolios, including doubtful and bad debts, and financial hardship programs to inform the ongoing refinement of debt management strategies through data‑driven decision‑making.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with external agency and government stakeholders to support the delivery of services and ensure the mutual achievement of Water Corporation and stakeholder objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with representatives of Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Revenue WA, Australian Institute of Conveyancers WA, Department of Communities, counterparts at other water utilities via WSAA and West Australian energy retailers, to assist with the delivery of products/services, while building the reputation and image of the Water Corporation.
- Monitor and evaluate KPIs and performance metrics to ensure visibility and accountability across operations.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement to elevate customer experience and streamline operational performance.
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Degree level qualification in finance, business or relevant discipline
- Substantial experience in leadership positions managing, coaching, and mentoring people to maximise their potential and their work contribution.
- Leads with confidence and composure, embracing change and navigating uncertainty with resilience
- Considerable experience in leading billing, collections and customer focussed teams
- Demonstrated high level of conceptual and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and influence outcomes at all levels.
