Our purpose is to help people thrive – our clients, our team, and the communities we live and work. We understand people are our business and, as such, we offer a friendly and professional environment for both our client and team members. With 20 business partners and over 90 staff, Moore Australia (WA) has grown into one of the state's leading accounting and advisory firms. We are part of the Moore Australia national and Moore Global networks and can provide local knowledge with a global reach.

The Role

To support the continued growth of our specialist tax services, we are looking for a Manager to join our Corporate Tax Division. This role will act as a key conduit between the tax team, clients, and internal stakeholders, managing complex corporate tax matters while leading a team of professionals to deliver high‑quality outcomes. You will work closely with Partners and senior leadership to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of corporate tax compliance, tax effect accounting and tax notes, facilitation of the Fringe Benefits Tax program for our clients, guidance and manage clients with employee share schemes, support our international clients with skills in Australian’s international tax framework, and provide broader tax advisory services. Your responsibilities will include managing client engagements, identifying and addressing technical issues including preparation of file notes and specific tax advice, mentoring and leading a team of corporate tax staff, ensuring delivery excellence across a portfolio of sophisticated and diverse clients including listed companies, large private groups, government and multinational entities. The role and opportunity will suit someone with similar Big 4 or Mid tier experience in corporate tax seeking to springboard their career, taking ownership of a team and ledger, while looking to improve and build both technical and leadership skills.

Duties
  • Managing and reviewing corporate income tax compliance including income tax returns, tax consolidations, and overseeing lodgement programs.
  • Overseeing and reviewing Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) compliance, including return preparation and ad‑hoc advisory work.
  • Providing expert tax advisory on corporate restructures, international tax matters (e.g. CFCs, transfer pricing, inbound/outbound investments), and employee share schemes.
  • Reviewing tax effect accounting calculations and preparing tax notes for our listed and large private client base.
  • Leading client engagements and coordinating teams to ensure work is delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget.
  • Preparing and monitoring billings, managing WIP, and supporting team profitability and productivity.
  • Coaching and mentoring team members, contributing to their professional development and engagement.
  • Building trusted relationships with clients and supporting business development initiatives across the practice.
About You
  • You are degree qualified with a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Business or other relevant qualification.
  • You have completed a CA or CPA qualification.
  • You have at least 4+ years of experience in corporate tax within a professional services environment. Salary will be commensurate with level of experience.
  • You are technically proficient and interested in learning to keep up to date with Australian corporate tax legislation, ATO guidance, and international tax developments.
  • You have experience with FBT, tax effect accounting under AASB 112, tax notes, employee share schemes, and cross‑border tax planning.
  • You demonstrate strong judgement, critical thinking, and analytical skills to deliver technically sound outcomes.
  • You are an effective communicator and team leader with the ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate stakeholders to meet deadlines.
  • You are committed to exceptional client service and take pride in building collaborative relationships.
  • You have a desire to build efficiency within the team, the practice and your own profile within the industry.
  • You hold a current national police clearance (within six months).
  • You have Australian working rights.
