Job summary

Pitcher Partners seeks an experienced Accountant with a strong focus on month end reporting to join our Private Business Family Advisory division in Brisbane. You will own key clients as their internal management accountant and contribute to tax advisory work to broaden your skill set.

The role involves payroll processing, month end activities, and managing client inquiries while collaborating with a supportive team in a leading accounting firm.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification in progress or completed.
• 3-5 years in professional services.
• Solid month end accounting skills.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to work autonomously and proactively.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and tailor service.
• Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite and Xero.
• High level of analytical and problem solving ability.
• Outstanding attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare payroll including deductions, redundancies and PAYG Withholding for large withholders.
• Prepare month end processes including depreciation, prepayments, accruals, intergroup invoices, and workpapers to reconcile accounts.
• Prepare business activity statements and payroll tax returns.
• Manage clients directly where possible in respect of information collection, queries and delivery of month end accounts.
