Join a team where your contribution matters, your skills are valued, and progress is made every day. Greatland’s core values of integrity, safety, teamwork, ownership and results are at the heart of its sustainable operating culture.

About the Role

As the Major Works Coordinator, you will provide frontline leadership and oversight of brownfield project execution and major maintenance activities. Acting as the critical link between operations, engineering, planning teams and contractors, you will ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will lead client-side field execution teams, coordinate contractor mobilisation, manage plant interfaces and simultaneous operations (SIMOPS), and drive a strong safety and performance culture across all work fronts.

Please note: This role is 8/6 FIFO from Perth

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of Project Supervisors and Major Maintenance Supervisors, ensuring clear expectations and strong field leadership.
  • Coordinate supervision coverage and shift rosters across active project and shutdown activities.
  • Manage contractor mobilisation activities including site access, inductions, accommodation, travel logistics and compliance requirements.

  • Drive schedule recovery initiatives and support successful project completion within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Verify field quality standards and ensure works comply with engineering specifications, Australian Standards and site requirements.

You are a practical and highly organised leader with extensive experience coordinating work in a heavy industrial, mining or fixed plant environment. You bring strong field credibility, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced operational settings.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating contractors and managing multiple stakeholders across operational sites.
  • Practical understanding of craneage, heavy lifting activities and critical risk management.
  • Sound knowledge of Western Australian mining safety legislation and contractor management practices.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence.
  • Ability to meet site medical, fitness-for-work and drug and alcohol requirements for FIFO operations.
Highly Regarded
  • Statutory Supervisor qualifications under Schedule 26 of the WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022.
  • Previous experience in a client-side mining environment.
  • Experience leading shutdowns, sustaining capital projects or major maintenance campaigns.
