About Our Client

Our client is a major Australian infrastructure services company that plays a key role in designing, building, operating and maintaining essential utility networks across the country. Its utilities division works with leading water, electricity, gas and industrial clients to deliver asset engineering, construction, maintenance, meter services, compliance and operations for critical utility infrastructure such as pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs and treatment plants. They are looking for a Maintenance Works Co-Ordinator (Planner & Schedular) to join their team.

What You Will Be Doing :

Working Monday Friday starting at 7AM working until 3pm / 4pm working out of their Luggage Point / Pinkenba Location. Your role as a Maintenance Works Co-Ordinator (Planner & Schedular includes the following responsibilities :

  • Onsite coordination (planning, scheduling and dispatching) of planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Working side by side the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all maintenance activities are prioritised appropriately and resources are managed effectively.
  • Daily interaction with the site team to develop and nurture a collaborative relationship that maximises output without compromising quality and safety.
  • Attend face to face on-site maintenance and planning meetings
  • Be part of on-site team, actively participate in developing improvements and efficiencies.
  • Physical inspection of maintenance activities whilst in-progress and on completion to ensure compliance with the requirements of the work order.
  • Monitor, report and manage performance for subcontractors carrying out maintenance activities.
  • Inspection of subcontractor activities to ensure completion of the task and the required documentation has been provided.
  • Meet with, liaise with, the onsite operations team to confirm access requirements for assets that require maintenance activities.
  • Communicate with Operations to ensure response to all maintenance tasks are attended safely and promptly.
  • Ability to provide coverage and be available to the ECC (Emergency Control Centre) during 24 / 7 wet weather events when triggered by Urban Utilities.
What You Will Need :
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role or 5 years experience in relatable roles
  • Previous Experience with Click Job Scheduling software (or similar)
  • Previous Experience with Ellipse Asset Management System (or similar)
  • Scoping, estimating and approval of Work request
  • Utilities sector knowledge (mechanical and / or electrical)
  • Experience in incident management
  • Proven skills in analysing data, identifying problems, and preparing response strategies.
  • Experience working to strict set of quality system
  • Proactive mindset committed to driving compliance, operational efficiency and relationship management in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and in close consultation with supervisors to plan and organise daily tasks, be efficient and accurate in achieving the objectives of the position within set timelines
  • Ability to assist other staff when required by providing guidance, advice and training on routine procedure
