Job summary

Ellerslie Farms Group seeks a casual maintenance technician for day shifts to service and repair farm infrastructure, including sheds, conveyors, feed and water lines. You will work unsupervised when needed, but collaborate within a small team to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires at least 5 years in agricultural maintenance, a strong mechanical aptitude, and safe hands-on work. Forklift licence and Working at Heights are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification is not essential, but you must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar maintenance role within an agricultural environment.
• Solid ability to communicate effectively with Managers, Supervisors, other team members and tradespeople.
• A Forklift licence with sufficient operational experience would be highly regarded.
• A Working at Heights certificate would be highly regarded.
• Experience with Cooling Systems would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• General building and equipment maintenance both inside and outside poultry sheds.
• Service and maintain conveyors, egg belts, nest boxes, feed and water lines, and related infrastructure.
• Assist with regular machine services as part of planned maintenance schedules.
• Assist with job planning, design and/or repairs to support farm operations.
• Complete any training (on-the-job and external) and participate actively.
