Job summary

Kinrise is a growing, privately owned powerhouse in Australian food manufacturing, seeking a capable Electrician or Industrial Electrician to join the maintenance team on Afternoon Shift. You will troubleshoot and improve high-speed automated equipment in a fast-paced factory environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Industrial Electrician with PLC and automation skills.
• Qualified Electrician with industrial and automation experience.
• Background in FMCG environments, ideally with high-speed packaging or processing equipment.
• Strong fault-finding capability on relays, sensors, field devices.
• Experience programming and configuring: VFDs / drives, scanners, electronic control modules.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems.
• Solid understanding of industrial controls (PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, instrumentation).
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical faults.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment audits.
• Hands-on mechanical tasks: lubrication programs, belt tracking, replacing bearings, chains, belts, motors and gearboxes.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Support maintenance and improvement projects and perform root-cause analysis.

We are seeking a highly capable Electrician or Industrial Electrician with strong mechanical aptitude to join our maintenance team on Afternoon Shift. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced industrial environments and enjoys troubleshooting and improving high-speed automated equipment.

This role would suit someone with:

• An experienced Industrial Electrician with PLC and automation skills who is mechanically capable
• A qualified Electrician with industrial and automation experience
• Background working in FMCG environments, ideally with high-speed packaging or processing equipment

Key Skills & Experience

• Electrical & Automation
• Unrestricted Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence)
• Strong electrical fault-finding capability, including contactors, relays, sensors, and field devices
• Experience programming and configuring:
  • VFDs / drives
  • Scanners
  • Electronic control modules
• Proven ability to troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
• Solid understanding of industrial controls (PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, instrumentation)

Mechanical & Maintenance

• Demonstrated problem-solving experience within an industrial maintenance environment
