Job summary

City Facilities Management – Wetherill Park NSW is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to deliver hands-on maintenance across Coles Distribution Centres. This permanent full-time role focuses on preventative maintenance, quality workmanship, safety and reliability in busy distribution environments.

You will perform a range of general repairs, coordinate with internal teams and contractors, and contribute to continuous improvement while working across multiple DC sites.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in maintenance, construction, or metal trades.
• Ability to perform wide range of hands-on maintenance tasks.
• Strong safety and compliance mindset.
• Experience in large-scale industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Delivery – Perform general building repairs and maintenance to ensure facilities operate safely and effectively.
• Preventative Maintenance – Execute planned maintenance activities to minimise downtime and extend asset life.
• Facilities Support – Respond to maintenance requests and ensure all work is completed to scope and quality.
• Multi-Skilled Works – Undertake a variety of trade-related tasks across building fabric and associated disciplines.
• Contractor Coordination – Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to support maintenance delivery.
• Safety & Compliance – Identify risks, follow safety procedures, and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with Distribution Centre teams and internal stakeholders to deliver reliable outcomes.

In thispermanent full-time role, you’ll be responsible for delivering maintenance services across Coles Distribution Centres, ensuring facilities are safe, functional, and operating at their best. You’ll carry out a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks, supported by strong systems, processes, and access to contractors when required.

With a focus on preventative maintenance and continuous improvement, you’ll play a key role in ensuring assets are maintained to a high standard while supporting operational efficiency across busy, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Experience & Expertise:

• Demonstrated experience in maintenance, construction, or metal trades
• Strong understanding of building fabric repairs and general maintenance works
• Ability to perform a wide range of hands-on maintenance tasks
• Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working across large-scale industrial or distribution environments
• Multi-trade exposure across carpentry, plastering, painting, mechanical or similar disciplines
• Experience working with maintenance systems and preventative maintenance programs
