Job summary

Ipswich City Council is seeking a Coordinator (Routine Maintenance) to plan, program and deliver routine maintenance across roads and drainage networks, driving quality outcomes for the community. You will lead a team, coordinate works, monitor budgets and report performance.

This permanent full-time position offers a salary starting at $106,570 plus 12.5% superannuation, with opportunities for learning and development and a supportive, safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Certificate III and Certificate IV in Local Government (Operational Works)
• Current Queensland C class driver’s licence
• Strong understanding of day-to-day operations, plant, materials, workflows and constraints
• Experience managing resources (people, equipment, contractors, budgets)
• Ability to set clear expectations and hold people accountable
• Belief in our values of safety and wellbeing, communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in delivering diverse works programs
• Plan and coordinate allocated works with resourcing, monitoring of budgets and performance reporting
• Lead and shape a safety-first, collaborative team culture by modelling effective leadership and establishing clear objectives and standards of performance
• Undertake procurement activities to ensure value for money in the planning, specification and delivery of civil works and services
• Contribute to a strong safety culture through safe work practices and hazard reporting
