Job summary

Nexus Plumbing & Gas on the Northern Gold Coast is seeking an experienced maintenance plumber for a full-time role in a small, tight-knit team. You’ll handle maintenance and service work, renovations, and select new builds with quality equipment and support.

Enjoy a generous hourly rate ($40–$60/hr + bonuses), a fully decked-out van, fuel card, uniforms, and sales incentives. We value pride in workmanship and flexible Fridays to suit you.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified plumber with a current QLD licence.
• Experience with maintenance, service plumbing, and renovations.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & service plumbing including fault finding, leaks, hot water systems, blocked drains, taps, toilets, and general maintenance.
• Renovations including bathrooms and kitchens, plus complete renovation projects.
• Custom new builds with quality residential finishes.
• Small commercial maintenance, fit-outs and projects.

We’re a small, established plumbing company on the Northern Gold Coast looking for an experienced plumber who wants good money, variety, quality equipment and a workplace where doing a good job actually gets recognised.

We’re not looking to build a massive team of 50 plumbers.

We want another good plumber who takes pride in their work, can deal professionally with customers, knows how to think for themselves and wants to be rewarded accordingly.

$40–$60 per hour + super
Your rate will depend on your experience, capabilities and endorsements.

THE WORK

Our work is varied and includes:

Maintenance & Service Plumbing
Fault finding, leaks, hot water systems, blocked drains, tapware, toilets, water services and general plumbing maintenance.

Renovations
Bathrooms, kitchens and complete renovation projects.

Custom New Builds
Quality residential projects where the finish actually matters.

Small Commercial
A mix of commercial maintenance, fit-outs and projects.

You’ll get a genuine variety of work across the Northern Gold Coast and surrounding areas.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're not interested in someone who needs to be chased around all day.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is a qualified plumber

• Has a current QLD plumbing licence

• Has a current driver’s licence

• Takes pride in their workmanship

• Can diagnose problems rather than just replace parts

• Is comfortable working independently

• Communicates well with customers

• Keeps their van and work area reasonably organised

• Turns up when they say they’re going to

• Wants to be part of a small team rather than disappear into a massive company

Gas, drainage, backflow, TMV or other endorsements/tickets are highly regarded and can increase your hourly rate.

WE DON'T EXPECT YOU TO WORK FOR FREE

If you identify additional legitimate work while you're on site and bring additional revenue into the business, you should benefit from it too.

That's why we offer sales incentives and performance bonuses on top of your hourly rate.

We're looking for plumbers who understand the difference between good customer service and hard selling.

Look after the customer, do quality work and help grow the business – we’ll look after you.

OVERTIME OR HALF-DAY FRIDAYS?

Different plumbers want different things.

Some want to earn as much as possible.

Others would rather knock off early and enjoy your Friday afternoon.

We’re happy to discuss a setup that works for you.

YOUR VAN

No sharing a half-empty ute or trying to work out of the back of someone's old Hilux.

You’ll be supplied with a fully decked-out plumbing van, fuel card and uniforms so you’ve got what you need to do the job properly.
