Job summary

PIMS Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Plumber to join our Township Maintenance Services team in Tieri. Based on site, you will maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial facilities, delivering quality solutions with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Requirements include a Certificate III in Plumbing, a QLD Plumber licence, White Card, and a valid manual driver’s licence. Gas work and height-safety competencies are desirable.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised trade qualification (Certificate III in Plumbing).
• Occupational Plumber and Drainage Licence (QLD).
• General Safety Induction (White Card).
• Valid Manual Driver’s Licence.
• Gas Work Licence Type A (QLD) – desirable.
• Work Safely at Height – desirable.
• CPCPWT4022A Backflow Prevention Devices Certificate – desirable.
• Minimum 2 years of plumbing experience (residential, commercial, or industrial).
• Maintenance plumbing and roofing experience – essential.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and a strong customer focus.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong understanding of WHS standards and safe work methods.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues (leaks, blockages, fixture installations).
• Routine maintenance, inspections, and system checks.
• Gas fitting and repairs (where qualified).
• Ensure all work complies with Australian Plumbing Standards and WHS.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

Please note: This role is strictly DIDO (Drive-In, Drive-Out) – not FIFO.

About the Role

Based in Tieri, you will play a key role in maintaining plumbing systems for residential and commercial facilities within the township. You’ll deliver quality plumbing solutions with a focus on safety and compliance. Responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and resolving plumbing issues (leaks, blockages, fixture installations)
• Routine maintenance, inspections, and system checks
• Gas fitting and repairs (where qualified)
• Ensuring all work is completed to Australian Plumbing Standards
• Ensuring and maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment

• An Australian recognised trade qualification (Certificate III in Plumbing)

• Valid Manual Driver’s Licence
• Gas Work Licence Type A (QLD)(desirable)
• Work Safely at Height (RIIWHS204D) (desirable)
• Commission and Maintain Backflow Prevention Devices Certificate CPCPWT4022A(desirable)
• Minimum 2 years of plumbing experience (residential, commercial, or industrial)
• Maintenance plumbing and roofing experience (essential)
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and a strong customer focus
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• A strong understanding of WHS standards and safe work methods
• Full Australian working rights or permanent residency
