Job summary

Keyton in Mona Vale (Pittwater Village) invites a dedicated Maintenance Officer to join our team. You will help keep our retirement living community running smoothly and provide excellent customer service to residents.

This full-time role focuses on maintenance tasks, safety, and teamwork. You will work Monday to Friday with no weekend shifts and report to the Village Manager.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in residential properties or trades roles.
• Ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks.
• Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Computer literate with Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Pro-active, able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and undertake maintenance tasks, repairs and inspections.
• Assist with handyperson tasks and minor installations.
• Implement and follow EHS procedures to protect residents and staff.
• Communicate with residents to address maintenance requests promptly.
• Coordinate with external contractors to meet work orders.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Assist with ad hoc duties as directed.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, committed and customer service focused Maintenance Officer to join our team at Pittwater Village.

Set among lush ferns and swaying palms in the heart of Mona Vale, Pittwater Village’s idyllic location strikes the perfect balance between coastal tranquillity and contemporary convenience for a vibrant retirement lifestyle.

As a Maintenance Officer at Keyton you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by undertaking maintenance activities and providing excellent customer service to our residents. We are seeking a proactive individual with strong communication skills, strong computer skills and a knack for problem-solving.

The successful candidate will support the close-knit team on a Full-time basis, from Monday to Friday. No weekend work!

Reporting to the Village Manager, your duties will include;

• Coordinating and undertaking maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections for residential properties
• Assisting with basic handyperson tasks as needed, including minor repairs and installations
• Implementing and adhering to EHS procedures, ensuring safety of all residents, visitors and contractors
• Communicating effectively with residents to address maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
• Collaborating with external contractors to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and update databases accordingly
• Assisting with various Ad hoc duties where required, as directed by the Village Manager

About You:

The successful applicant will have demonstrated competence as a maintenance assistant, handyman, gardener, tradesperson or trade assistant or experience in a similar role, as well as:

• Be organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
• Understanding of machinery use and tools required for the job
• A current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
• Computer literate e.g. intermediate/basic knowledge with using Excel, Word, Outlook, Apps
• The ability to take initiative and be pro-active
• The ability to work individually and as part of a team

Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on-site.
