Job summary

Tall Timbers is seeking a practical Maintenance/Handyperson to look after our venue in Smithton. This fixed-term, full-time role requires a proactive approach to keeping the property in top condition and safe for guests.

You'll perform preventative checks, handle repairs, and maintain logs while keeping grounds and guest areas tidy and safe. A valid Driver’s Licence and a Forklift Licence are required, with weekend flexibility during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Driver’s Licence required to get around the property.
• Forklift Licence required to move stock and deliveries.
• Handy Skills: practical experience with general repairs, tools, and upkeep.
• Great Attitude: you are reliable, organised, and take pride in your work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular preventative checks to keep things functioning smoothly.
• Perform general repairs from leaks to squeaky doors.
• Maintain safety and maintenance logs and stay compliant with procedures.
• Keep grounds and guest areas neat, safe, and well-presented.
• Work independently on daily tasks or collaborate on bigger projects.

Job description

We are on the lookout for a practical, hands-on Maintenance / Handyperson to look after our venue. If you take pride in your work, love solving problems, and want to help keep our property running smoothly, we want to hear from you!

This is a fixed-term, full-time role. Your standard hours will be Monday to Friday, but you may need a bit of flexibility to help out on weekends during our peak seasons.

What You’ll Do:

Stay Ahead of Fixes: Handle regular preventative checks so things don't break down.
Tackle General Repairs: Use your problem-solving skills to fix anything from a leaky tap to a squeaky door.
Keep Us Compliant: Stay organised and fill out our safety and maintenance logs.
Handy Work: Keep our grounds and guest areas looking sharp and safe with great attention to detail.
Pitch In: Work independently on daily tasks, team up on bigger projects, and always be willing to lend a hand.

What You Need:
