Job summary

Bindaree Food Group is seeking multiple Maintenance Fitters to support the Monbeef processing facility in Cooma. You will focus on breakdown response, fault‑finding and preventative maintenance across plant equipment, operating within established safety and quality standards.

The role offers stability, ongoing training, and opportunities for career progression within a long‑standing Australian business. Shift coverage includes morning and evening slots with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to fault‑find, diagnose, and resolve mechanical issues.
• Practical understanding of plant, equipment, and production environments
• A strong commitment to safety, procedures, and quality standards
• Reliability, accountability, and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Experience in food processing or manufacturing environments (highly regarded)

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly and effectively to mechanical breakdowns across plant equipment
• Carry out preventative maintenance activities as part of the site maintenance program
• Apply strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills to minimise equipment downtime
• Complete maintenance tasks accurately and record all work in MaintainX
• Work constructively and cooperatively within the maintenance team
• Liaise with other departments and contractors as required to complete works
• Maintain a consistent focus on safety in all maintenance activities
