Job summary

Drake Trades and Technical in Adelaide region is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a leading manufacturing site in West Croydon, SA. You will perform hands-on maintenance to keep plant and production equipment running safely and efficiently.

Key tasks include preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs, hydraulic and pneumatic system work, and assisting with installations and improvements.

Qualifications

• Cert III Mechanical Qualification is required.
• 3+ years' experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Strong mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience is highly regarded.
• Welding, fabrication or basic machining skills are advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Clear communicator who works well with others.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative and planned maintenance across production equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and perform repairs.
• Inspect machinery to identify potential issues before breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Assist with machinery installation and equipment improvements.
• Maintain spare parts and fabricate components when required.
• Record maintenance work in SAP accurately.
• Work closely with the production team to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
• Follow site safety and environmental procedures at all times.
