Job summary

Pentarch Group in Eden, NSW, seeks a qualified maintenance fitter for a permanent full‑time role to maintain fixed plant machinery across the saw and chip milling operation. The role involves preventative and corrective maintenance to sustain maximum production levels.

The position offers an above‑award hourly rate with overtime opportunities and a rotating weekly shift (6am or 2pm starts). You will report to the Maintenance Manager and work with a team to minimise downtime and drive continuous

Qualifications

• Substantial experience as a maintenance fitter in a production/manufacturing environment.
• A qualification in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or a related field.
• Ability to identify technical issues, recommend improvements and support rectification.
• Awareness of occupational health and safety issues and a strong emphasis on employee safety.
• Desirable additional certificates such as working at heights, confined spaces, a forklift licence or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the maintenance team to maintain production levels by ensuring fixed plant equipment is functioning correctly and reducing downtime.
• Perform fault finding, repairs and servicing of various fixed plant machinery, including the treatment plant, transfer belts and decks.
• Use sound judgement in maintenance decisions, prioritising employee health and safety.
• Minimise breakdown time through quick fixes and thorough repairs between shifts.
• Utilise Ampro maintenance software to support daily operations.
• Participate in minor and major shutdowns and improvement projects.
