ShapeMakers in Somersby are seeking an experienced Fitter to join our Maintenance team. You will be responsible for project work, planned and unplanned maintenance, and troubleshooting to keep production running smoothly.

This hands-on role requires practical trade skills and the ability to work on your own or as part of a team. The role includes equipment upgrades, installation of new machinery and decommissioning of old equipment.

Competenze

• Qualified tradesperson with relevant certification.
• Experience in machine troubleshooting and fault finding.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team.

Mansioni

• Perform project work and scheduled or unscheduled maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment and diagnose faults to restore operation.
• Contribute to equipment upgrades and installation of new machinery.

About the role

We are currently seeking experienced Fitters to join our Maintenance team based at our Somersby manufacturing facility.

You will be responsible for project work, scheduled & unscheduled breakdown maintenance and trouble shooting. As we continue to grow our operations, this role is also involved with equipment upgrades, installation of new machinery and decommissioning of old machinery.

• Day Shift runs from 6:30am to 2:36pm Monday to Friday

About you

To succeed in this role, you will:

• Be a qualified and experienced tradesperson
• Have experience in machine troubleshooting/problem-solving and fault finding
• Have experience in preventative maintenance
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team

As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric, vision, drug and alcohol testing.
