Job summary

Nature One Dairy is expanding its Engineering Department and seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineer / Fitter to repair, maintain and improve our production equipment. You will perform fault finding, preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades to support high-quality dairy products.

You will work with automated filling and packaging lines, manage maintenance planning, and ensure compliance with GMP and food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of demonstrated experience in an industrial/production/facility maintenance environment.
• Experience with automated filling and packaging equipment, vacuum and mechanical transfer systems, and PLC-based equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance issues.
• Planning, organisation and problem solving skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and reliability; able to work with limited supervision and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance and servicing of all production equipment including seamers, fillers, blenders etc.
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding
• Repair of production machinery parts, replacement of production machinery parts
• Complete preventative maintenance and reactive worksheets from Maintenance Scheduling Program
• Planning and implementation of various maintenance projects
• Daily maintenance and breakdown support across the site
• Preventive maintenance planning and follow-up
• Resolve equipment failures and downtime issues
• Critical spare parts and maintenance purchasing
• Contractor and supplier management
• Shutdown work, installations and engineering projects
• LOTO, guarding, working at height and other engineering safety requirements
• Maintenance records, drawings, manuals and PLC backups
• Working closely with production and QA under our GMP and food-safety requirements
