Job summary

Bega Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the Penrith, NSW site on a permanent, full-time basis. You will provide hands-on electrical support, preventative maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement to keep production running smoothly.

The role operates on a rotating 12-hour day shift (5:00 AM–5:00 PM) and 10-hour night shift (5:00 PM–3:00 AM), including weekends, with duties focused on safety, reliability and food quality standards in a dairy manufacturing

Qualifications

• Fully licensed Electrician with experience in manufacturing.
• Dairy manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause-analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and electrical systems across the site.
• Perform preventative maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Support and coach team members on safe equipment use and best practices.
• Ensure work complies with engineering, safety and food quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and site culture.

You’ll contribute through hands‑on electrical support, proactive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives that help the team perform at its best.Our Penrith site is located in Greater Western Sydney on the banks of the Nepean River and manufactures a range of more than 50 milk-based products. The site currently produces around 170 million litres of product every year! We proudly source milk from around 60 dairy farms across NSW and are passionate about supporting local products.The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work a rotating 12-hour day shift roster (5:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and 10-hour night shift roster (5:00 PM–3:00 AM), including weekdays and weekends (Monday to Sunday).ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and troubleshoot equipment and electrical systems, responding to breakdowns in a timely and practical wayPerform preventative maintenance to improve performance and reduce downtimeSupport and guide team members by sharing knowledge and coaching safe equipment useEnsure all work is completed in line with engineering, safety, and food quality standardsContribute to continuous improvement and safety initiatives, helping build a strong site cultureAbout youFully licensed Electrician with experience in a manufacturing environment; dairy manufacturing preferredStrong problem‑solving skills, with experience in root cause analysisKnowledge of automation systems including PLCs, SCADA, and industrial networksConfident in fault‑finding and troubleshooting across electrical systemsAble to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and P&IDsBega Group StoryBega Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
