Job summary

Apollo Motorhome Holidays in Bankstown, NSW, seeks a full-time Maintenance Assistant to perform practical carpentry and handyman work on our motorhomes and campervans. You’ll keep doors, cupboards and latches in top condition for the open road.

You’ll follow a checklist to prepare vehicles, check tyres, fix hardware, and complete handyman tasks. The role offers a total annual earnings of AUD 63,000 (base $57,300 + super + allowances) with uncapped commission, plus uniform, boots allowance, a

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and repair of RVs, including carpentry and fittings.
• Experience with doors, cupboards and latches, basic hardware fixes.
• Trade qualification a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow a checklist to repair motorhomes on return and prepare for road.
• Check tyre tread and tighten fittings as part of safety checks.
• Fix doors, cupboards and compartments and swap latches.
• Support weekend rosters and maintain clean, safe vehicles.

Job description

Join our close-knit Bankstown crew as a full-time Maintenance Assistant. You’ll be doing practical carpentry and handyman work on our motorhomes and campervans, making sure doors, cupboards and latches are ready for the open road.

Duties

• Work through our checklist to put motorhomes right when they roll back in
• Check tyre tread and tighten fittings
• Fix doors, cupboards and compartments
• Swap latches and complete practical handyman work
• $63,000 total annual earnings (base $57,300 + super + allowances) plus uncapped commission ($5k-$10k)
• A free Apollo motorhome for 4 days within your first 3 months
• Flexible hours and a clear path to Workshop Supervisor or Assistant Branch Manager
• Uniform supplied, tools on site and up to $100 back on steel-capped boots
• One Wellbeing Day provided each financial year

Skills & Experience

• Confidence with hand and power tools to fix a broken cupboard or door latch
• Hands-on maintenance, carpentry or trade experience (trade/RV qualification a bonus)
• Valid open driver's licence and your own car
• Availability for some rostered weekends once trained
