Job summary

Next Gen Health & Lifestyle Clubs in Adelaide is seeking an enthusiastic Maintenance Assistant to help keep our Memorial Drive Club looking its best. You will work closely with Management to identify maintenance issues and coordinate on-site tasks.

This role involves day-to-day upkeep, overseeing small projects, and liaising with external trades as required. A practical background in building, plumbing, electrical or plastering will be highly regarded and you should be reliable and safety minded.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance skills across building, plumbing, electrical and plastering.
• Knowledge of OH&S practices and safe work procedures.
• Experience in customer-facing environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Identify maintenance issues and report to management.
• Oversee maintenance projects on site.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate with external trades as required.
• Ensure the club looks its best at all times.

An excellent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and committed all round Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Memorial Drive. You will work closely with Management to ensure that our Club looks it's best at all times. This role will see you identifying any maintenance issues and bringing them to management, overseeing any maintenance projects onsite, doing maintenance day to day and coordinating and meeting with external trades when required.

To be successful you will need to have good maintenance skills and knowledge of most handyman skills including but not limited to building, plumbing, electrical and plastering.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

You don't have to excel at all the trades but be confident to achieve a good standard in most of them.

Any trade experience such as Electrical, Refrigeration, Carpentry, Plumbing, Tiling, will be highly regarded.

As the successful candidate you will be able to provide evidence of the following:

• Working knowledge of OH&S
• Having worked in a professional and customer service environment
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Very good interpersonal skills
• A pro-active approach to identifying maintenance issues
• Reliable
• A police check and working with Children check is required.

You will be required to work set days and set times over the 7 day week Monday to Sunday. This will be finalized with your input at the time of engagement.
