Job summary

McDonald’s Australia is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to keep the restaurant clean and ready for trade, inside and out. You’ll manage daily cleaning, basic upkeep, and safety checks to support the restaurant team.

The role may be full-time, with options for part-time or casual. Availability for early mornings is preferred, and a police check is required for applicants over 18 who are successful. Right to work in Australia is required.

• Keep interior and exterior areas clean and welcoming for customers and staff.
• Maintain equipment to ensure safety and smooth operation.
• Look after the carpark, patio, and exterior areas (bins, gardens, signage, floors, tables, chairs).
• Organise and clean the back area including rubbish and staff toilets.
• Follow restaurant safety and security standards.
• Complete ad hoc maintenance tasks as requested by management.

Our maintenance employees form a critical part of the restaurant team, reporting to the Restaurant Manager. The maintenance role is primarily focused on the cleanliness of the restaurant (internally and externally) and preparing the restaurant for trade each day. This role is suited to an individual who is highly organised, is able to work autonomously and has a high attention to detail.

What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?

• Maintain the internal and external restaurant environment to provide a clean, functioning and welcoming environment for Customers and the restaurant team.
• Maintain equipment to ensure it is well functioning and the restaurant environment is safe and secure from potential hazards.
• Maintain the restaurant carpark, patio and all exterior equipment including, but not limited to the bins, gardens, curbs, signage, floors, tables and chairs.
• Organise and clean the back area of the restaurant including the rubbish area and staff toilets.
• Comply with restaurant safety and security standards for a safe working environment.
• Complete ad hoc maintenance tasks when requested by the Management team.

• Capable of hearing and responding to various alerts and alarms
• Resilient and adaptable, bouncing back from challenges with a positive mindset
• Police cCheck required if successful (applicants over 18 years only)
• Valid right to work in Australia is required
