Mainframe Systems Admin - z / OS, Adabas / Natural

• Contract – Long Term
• Location – Sydney or Melbourne
• Security Clearance – Must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance

About the role :

An opportunity exists for aMainframe Systems Admin Support with a strong customer focus and rich technical expertise in mainframe systems administration in a z15 z / OS environment. Specifically, you should have experience in some of the following -

• Operating System – z / OS
• DB / Language - Adabas / Natural
• Transaction processor – TSO, NIM
• Monitoring, Alerting, Printing & Operational Support – XYMON, MXG, VPS / NIMSPL
• Middleware – MQ, Datastream, RPC, Corba
• Scheduler / Batch processor – CA-11 / Jobtrac
• Job Language - JCL
• Security – RACF, Natural security
• Source Code Management – N20
• Storage / Backup Management – Hitachi VPS5100, CA-1 (Tape Management)

Key Responsibilities :

• Software maintenance (patching / upgrading software) in a mainframe environment, SMP / E skills (mainframe software management).
• 24X7 support, shift work and after-hours support required
• Operational and technical support to Application support and management.
• Master console operation support.
• Problem ticket in-depth analysis, trouble-shooting, problem resolution
• Operational monitoring, alerting and tuning
• Proactively providing innovative solutions in accordance with modern technologies
• Build and maintain relationships with and advise various levels of stakeholders.
