Job summary

BT Recruitment Pty in Melbourne seeks an experienced Machine Setter/CNC operator for an ongoing temp-to-perm role. The position is dayshift with a rotating 12-hour shift pattern (3 days on, 4 off, then 3 off and 4 on including weekends), starting January 27, with 7 working days in a fortnight.

Initial screening includes drug/alcohol testing and a police check. You will read plans, fabricate parts, and operate CNC/fabrication machinery with comprehensive training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication of parts and following plans and diagrams.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and machine setting/running experience.
• Ability to read plans and diagrams.

Rate of pay: $42.00 per hour + Super for Day shift

From January 27 they are seeking the candidate to work a rotating roster 12 hour shifts 3 days working the 4 days off and thee days off and 4 days working (including the weekend). 7 working days in a fortnight

Our client, a leading distributor of spare parts to the aviation and transport industry, is seeking an experienced Machine Setter/CNC with mechanical aptitude to join their team for an ongoing Temp to Permanent role. Experience in fabrication of parts and following plans and diagrams is required. Dayshift position.

The successful applicant will require a strong mechanical aptitude and machine setting/running experience as full training on their specific and specialised machines will be given to the successful candidate. A strong understanding of mechanics and ability to read plans will be needed.

The successful applicant will possess the following skillset:

Have a mechanical background with a strong mechanical aptitude

Setting and Operating machinery-CNC, Fabrication or similar is preferred as training will be provided on their specialised Machinery

Previous machine operating experience within a fast-paced industry

Must be willing to learn as this role involves extensive training

Must have a \"can do\" attitude and follow instructions well

Must be fit and able to do manual lifting
