Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Italian language lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
  • Foster a passion for language learning and cultural appreciation in a supportive, inclusive environment.
  • Use diverse teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate Italian across the curriculum.
  • Contribute to whole-school events celebrating Italian culture, including our annual Italian Day.
  • Assess and report in line with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0, providing constructive feedback through semester reports.
  • Share student learning through assemblies and newsletters.
  • Promote conversational Italian in daily routines and encourage independence through tools like Languages Online.
  • Incorporate music, singing, and prayers in Italian to enhance confidence and cultural understanding.
  • Uphold child safety policies and support student wellbeing.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.
  • A strong commitment to Catholic education.
  • Experience teaching LOTE - Italian P-6
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.
  • Enthusiasm for implementing a differentiated curriculum and using modern technology to support student learning.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
