Job summary

Jets Transport, operating as part of the Qantas Freight network, seeks a Long Distance Driver based at the Perth Qantas Freight Terminal. You will operate heavy and multi‑combination vehicles, perform changeover work, and coordinate with Melbourne-based drivers before returning to Perth.

Local duties and occasional trips to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane may be required. This rotating 7‑day roster includes afternoon departures and night shifts.

Qualifications

• MC licence required.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster and night shifts.
• Must be eligible for an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

When international air cargo touches down in Australia, we’re there to get it the rest of the way to its destination. Our interstate trucking services cover the domestic legs of international airfreight operations, driving between all the major cities from our hubs in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Coolangatta, Perth and Adelaide.

As a Long Distance Driver based at the Qantas Freight Terminal Perth, you will be responsible for operating heavy and multi-combination vehicles. Primarily you will be completing changeover work, coordinating with our Melbourne based driver at Mundrabilla before returning to Perth. Also, you’ll need to perform local work duties as well. Occasionally, there may be a requirement to drive straight through to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

This position operates on a rotating 7-day roster, with departures typically scheduled for the early afternoon. In addition to long-distance linehaul duties, you will also be required to support local operations as needed, including the loading and delivery of cargo.

To be successful in this position you’ll have:

• A MC drivers licence
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster and the ability to work night shifts
• High attention to detail and focus on safety.
• Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
