Job summary

A Logistics Operator in Altona will support day-to-day operations, operate forklifts, and assist with stock management to ensure smooth warehouse flow. This casual 6-month assignment offers a competitive hourly pay and weekly payroll through Adecco.

You will work with a team to maintain safety standards and contribute to a more sustainable future while delivering reliable logistics support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a forklift driver (reach forklift) or in a similar logistics role.
• Valid forklift licence and strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment to move and manage inventory within the warehouse.
• Perform routine safety inspections on equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Load and unload goods from delivery trucks with accurate documentation and inventory tracking.
• Assist with stocktaking and inventory management; report discrepancies to the warehouse manager.
• Collaborate with teammates to streamline warehouse operations and improve efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace in line with company policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

As a Logistics Operator, your primary responsibilities willinclude:

• Operating forklifts and othermaterial-handling equipment to efficiently move and manage inventory within thewarehouse.
• Performing routine safetyinspections on equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Loading and unloading goods fromdelivery trucks while ensuring accurate documentation and inventory tracking.
• Assisting with stocktaking andinventory management, promptly reporting any discrepancies to the warehousemanager.
