Job summary

MedRecruit Limited is assisting a 300-bed Tasmanian public hospital in Launceston with locum surgical coverage from 24 December 2026 to 5 January 2027. The role offers $3,500 per day (Mon–Fri) with an additional $140 on call if rostered. Travel and accommodation are included.

Rates are inclusive of superannuation, taxes, and casual loading where applicable. Applicants must hold current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.

Qualifications

• Must hold current AHPRA registration to practice medicine.
• Locum cover for surgical services in a Tasmanian public hospital.
• Availability for 24 December 2026 – 5 January 2027, inclusive.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist surgical cover for the assigned period.
• Ensure safe patient care and adherence to hospital protocols during shifts.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain service continuity.
