Job summary

You will deliver a range of ultrasound services and work with radiologists and clinicians. Accreditation with ASAR is required, with at least 5 years post-qualification experience.

Qualifications

• ASAR accreditation is required.
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
• Demonstrated competence across a broad range of general ultrasound examinations.
• Confidence working autonomously in a private practice setting.
• Strong communication with patients and clinical team.
• Proficiency with modern ultrasound equipment and electronic imaging systems.
• Availability for the full locum period (Dec 2026–Feb 2027).
• Preferred: OB, vascular or MSK ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, musculoskeletal and vascular imaging.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images and worksheets to support reporting.
• Liaise with radiologists, clinicians and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation per regulations.
• Uphold infection control protocols and health and safety standards.
• Work independently managing a daily list with minimal supervision.
