Aussie Locums is seeking a locum Sonographer for maternity leave coverage in Launceston, TAS. The role uses Siemens Sequoia and GE Logic, with reporting via SonoReview and PACS (Inteleviewer). You will handle general ultrasound, MSK, and nuchal studies, reporting with a radiologist on-site three days a week.

Starting April for 3–6 months, accommodation and travel support provided; no car required. Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience and ASAR registration are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in ultrasound across general specialties; MSK and nuchal cert advantageous.
• Proficient with Siemens Sequoia and GE Logic; SonoReview familiarity advantageous.
• Familiarity with Inteleviewer PACS and ability to manage patient lists efficiently.
• ASAR registration and strong ultrasound protocol knowledge.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with a small team and radiologist on-site three days a week.

Job Summary

In this maternity leave cover locum role, you will use Siemens Sequoia and GE Logic machines to perform ultrasound scans, with reporting done via SonoReview. You’ll bring expertise across general ultrasound, nuchal certification, and MSK, while managing your own lists and working alongside one other sonographer. A radiologist will be on-site three days a week. The role requires a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience, ASAR registration, and familiarity with Inteleviewer PACS. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.

• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in performing ultrasound scans across general specialties, with MSK and nuchal certification being an advantage.
