Job summary

Aussie Locums is seeking a Locum Radiographer for a rural hospital in Charleville, Queensland. The role covers general, mobile and OPG radiography with a mix of walk-ins and ED patients, 8:30 am – 4:36 pm, Monday to Friday, plus after-hours on-call.

You’ll work under QLD Health credentialing, with accommodation and travel support provided, and on-site imaging leadership. Equipment includes Shimadzu General, Shimadzu Mobile, and Planmeca OPG. AHPRA registration and QLD licences are essential.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration is essential and must be current.
• QLD Health credentialing is required; guidance provided.
• Registration in QLD Radiation licence is mandatory.
• Experience in General, Mobile and OPG radiography is expected.
• Ability to work autonomously in a rural setting with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform General, Mobile and OPG radiography (no CT).
• Handle walk-ins and ED patients; maintain quality imaging service.
• Oversee satellite sites by phone and check PACS remotely.
• Collaborate with imaging leadership to deliver patient‑centred care.
• Adhere to QLD Health credentialing requirements.

Our client is a rural hospital in South West Queensland providing essential medical imaging services across Charleville and satellite sites. Patients travel long distances for care, making your role vital in ensuring timely and quality imaging support. You’ll be part of a positive, community-minded team that values professionalism, flexibility, and compassionate service delivery.

This is a QLD Health role, which will require credentialing in line with their protocols. Our team can step you through this.

All About the Role

• General, Mobile & OPG radiography (no CT)
• Mix of walk-ins and emergency department patients
• Monday – Friday | 8:30 am – 4:36 pm (76 hr fortnight) + on-call afterhours and weekends
• Use of Shimadzu General, Shimadzu Mobile & Planmeca OPG equipment
• Paper referrals | Digital reporting via QRIS and QDOCs
• Oversee satellite sites by phone and checking PACS
