A healthcare provider in Queensland is seeking a Locum Senior Speech Pathologist to deliver care in various settings. Job description

Up to $85.55 per hour + super

Locum Senior Speech Pathologist/Speech Pathologist required for a locum in Mackay, Queensland. Full time hours, 76 hours per fortnight. Open to experienced HP3 or HP4 clinicians.

The Speech Pathology Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. The Speech Pathologists provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management to children and adults needing help with communication and/or swallowing.

You Must Have
  • Clinical experience within acute/hospital settings
  • Clinical experience with one or more of the following:
Clinical Experience with one or more of the following
  • Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study (VFSS)
  • Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation Of Swallowing (FEES)
  • Laryngectomy
  • Paediatric feeding and dysphagia
  • Tracheostomy
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of ieMR and proficiency in using this system
  • Previous experience working in Australia
The Following Competencies/training Are Also Required
  • Paid Blue Card
  • Manual and patient handling
  • Infection control
  • Aggressive behaviour management
  • Mandatory reporting by Registered Nurses, and/or Midwives for reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglect
Additional Info
  • Locum rates up to $85.55 + super depending on experience
  • Accommodation provided local but up to 7km from the facility
  • Up to $350 each way for travel
  • There will credentialing paperwork to complete before you can commence
