Job summary

Moruya-based locum dentist opportunity with Abano Healthcare Group. Join an experienced team at Maven Dental Moruya on the NSW South Coast for a temporary placement from 4 January to 5 February 2027, Monday to Friday, delivering high-quality general and emergency dentistry.

Enjoy a supportive clinical and administrative team, a pre-existing patient base, and travel/accommodation support. Base retainer is $800 per day or 40% commission, whichever is greater, with scope for additional earnings

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience practising in Australia.
• Confident working independently across general and emergency dentistry.
• Professional indemnity insurance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning across general dentistry.
• Deliver a range of treatments including restorations, extractions, and urgent care, with scope aligned to your clinical experience.
• Manage patient flow and prioritise emergency cases as required.
• Communicate treatment plans clearly and educate patients on oral health and preventive care.
• Work collaboratively with dental assistants, oral health therapists, and support staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Australian standards and regulations.
• Adapt to different practice environments and systems to ensure continuity of care.
