Job summary

Abano Healthcare Group is seeking a locum dentist for Moruya, NSW. You will deliver general and emergency dentistry while integrating with an experienced team in a coastal setting.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience practising in Australia.
• Confident working independently across general and emergency dentistry.
• Professional indemnity insurance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning across general dentistry.
• Deliver restorations, extractions, and urgent care commensurate with experience.
• Manage patient flow and prioritise emergency cases as required.
• Communicate treatment plans clearly and educate patients on oral health and preventive care.
• Work collaboratively with dental assistants, oral health therapists, and support staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Australian standards and regulations.
• Adapt to different practice environments and systems to ensure continuity of care.

Job Description

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of treatments including restorations, extractions, and urgent care, with scope aligned to your clinical experience
• Manage patient flow and prioritise emergency cases as required
• Communicate treatment plans clearly and educate patients on oral health and preventive care
• Work collaboratively with dental assistants, oral health therapists, and support staff
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Australian standards and regulations
• Adapt to different practice environments and systems to ensure continuity of care

The Opportunity

• 9 November to 24 December
• Monday to Friday

• $800 base retainer per working day or 40% commission, whichever is greater
