Job summary

Pacific National in Moss Vale is seeking Qualified Locomotive Drivers to support freight operations across the Southern Highlands and NSW network.

You will prepare, inspect and operate locomotives safely, complete documentation, and work with Train Control and operations teams to deliver reliable DIFOT performance.

The role requires a Certificate IV in Train Driving, NSW route knowledge is valued, and a commitment to safety with a 24/7 rotating roster.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Train Driving is required.
• NSW route knowledge is highly regarded.
• Strong commitment to safety is essential.
• Ability to meet rail medical requirements.
• Availability to work a 24/7 rotating roster.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, inspect and operate locomotives safely
• Operate train services in accordance with rail safety standards and Pacific National procedures
• Complete operational and compliance documentation
• Work collaboratively with Train Control and operational teams
• Deliver strong DIFOT performance
• Identify and report hazards and safety risks
• Demonstrate leadership in safety and safe work practices
• Contribute to a positive team culture
